Position Overview:

The Customer Service Representative will report directly to the Dispatch Supervisor. This position is responsible for receiving incoming customer calls, providing customers with answers to questions regarding our products, and data entry into our tracking and scheduling software to ensure timely delivery of our products for our Washington DC, Lorton, VA and Chantilly, VA Ready Mix Concrete Plants. This position is currently located in Lorton, VA but will move soon to the DC office.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a customer service setting with a talent for up selling products and particular attention to detail. This position is located in a construction type environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving incoming customer calls and notifying customers of any updates as needed
  • Explain policies and procedures to our customers
  • Obtain clear and concise directions
  • Verify all information before releasing a call
  • Coordinate customer orders with the scheduling and tracking program

Education and Skill Requirements:

  • High School or equivalent education required
  • Must be computer savvy, able to manage windows and dos based programs
  • Proven experience in a customer service setting required. Previous experience in call receiving is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable with multitasking and working under pressure.
  • Particular attention to details.
  • Familiarity with MS Outlook a plus
